It's 3 in the morning. I couldn't sleep, so what did I do? I made bacon. Enough for like, three people. I ate most of it. Would have eaten the rest by I started to nod off in the middle of chewing. Will finish in morning.
Totally worth the extra 20 minutes running at maximum resistance and incline on the standing pedal machine thing at the gym. Go me!

Bacon is one of those foods that's good any time - day or night. BTW - totally forgot to say congrats on your great article in Sac Mag. :)
ReplyDeleteHA! I understand those cravings at odd hours - good thing I'm not your neighbor though because the smell of bacon would've totally woken me up and I would have been knocking...
ReplyDeleteThat is an odd thing to crave at 3 am.
ReplyDeleteGood news! My GF sent me a cook book all about chocolate! Yum! I can't wait to try some of these recipes. I just need to round up some extra taste testers :o)
Bacon...interesting. Mine was left over buckwheat pancakes rolled and dipped in maple syrup. I finally stopped eating when I looked down and saw the beads of syrup on my shirt. Late night eating is sometimes the most decadent...
ReplyDeleteHONEY! You're my kinda guy. 3am bacon is the best!!
ReplyDeleteI love bacon. It was on the menu for our recent camping trip, and you should've seen the head-turning that occurred at nearby sites when that smell started wafting through the campground!
ReplyDeleteWhen i was a kid my mom used to ration the bacon to us. I am still recovering from that. Unless I put it in a quiche or something i just couldn't eat as much as i want.
ReplyDeleteIt's three AM here in anchorage, but i'm not making bacon. I actually was thinking of making your cinnamon raisin bread- it sounds delish. I've always been a little afraid of yeast breads because I once made two loaves with nothing but whole wheat flour and it was about ten lbs. of glutenous evil that I forced myself to eat in order to not waste it. Ugh. But I just wanted to drop a line and tell you that I have been there at three AM with the bacon, and it is ALWAYS worth the triple portion. Screw it... I don't even make it up at the gym.
