Unless, of course, they recall the tuna for mercury poisoning.

Coworker on the phone: Yes, yes you can eat the tomatoes.

*pause*

Coworker: No, they are not infected.

*pause*

Coworker: Yes, I know the news said that but ours are fine. Only the ones in the store are bad.

*pause*

Coworker: *grabs her head* Yes, we bought the tomato plant at the store. That was three years ago. The tomatoes are fine.

*pause*

Coworker: Then just make a tuna fish and not a B.L.T. I have to go, bye.

    Enough said.

Actually, I'll add that I bargained a few pounds of plums (from the tree) for some of my cherry tomatoes with a lady down the street. There are advantages to living somewhere that you can grow things.

  2. I'm pretty sure this person was on the phone with my Mom. AKA: the most neurotic person I know.

  3. What surprised me is that the normal person was your coworker and not the person at the other end of the phone.

I'm sure they will find you though...you seem to attrack that special brand of people for some reason.
