This is a fabulous little recipe that Meredith gave me when I was asking for a good cilantro recipe. I can't say that there's a recipe per se to this, as this is something that really goes by taste. We used it over some leftover tri-tip we had in the fridge. Fantastic.
Cilantro-Mint Chutney
Take cilantro, mint, a clove of garlic, a seeded chili pepper, knob of ginger, coconut milk, and a dash of salt and chuck it into the food processor. Keep tasting to make sure you get it how you like it.

ReplyDeleteyou can also make a chutney using lime juice. My mother makes chutney with cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt, and peppers.
ReplyDeleteI love this chutney, and often add lime juice and green peppers and garlic (sometimes). Goes really well with snacks or as a spread. You have a beautiful blog!
